Board of Directors

The members of KIA’s Board of Directors are individually and collectively responsible for the governance of KIA. The main duties of the Board of Directors are:
To represent Kitikmeot Beneficiaries
To support and represent KIA in dealings with other organizations
To make policy regarding planning and finances
To plan, give direction, and ensure policies are carried out
Nine board members are usually elected for two-year terms. Not all board members are elected at the same time. Staggering half of the elections by a year means that at least half of the Board will be composed of experienced board members all the time, thus ensuring continuity in governance.

KIA’s current Board members are:
